CORZILIUS

Cynthia Elaine Corzilius, age 41, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her home, July 1st, 2004.   Cynthia had served as the Midwest manager at Integic Corporation (DLA/DSCC) prior to her death; and before that, with Renaissance Worldwide as Strategic IT manager, both in Columbus.  Cynthia’s career also included serving over 16 years in the US Air Force, retiring at the rank of MSgt/First Sergeant from the 185th Civil Engineering Squadron in 1985.  She received many commendations and awards for her service, including the Meritorious Service and the Air Force Commendation Medal.

Cynthia is survived by her beloved German Shepard Java Bean Spazdog Corzilius (now in the hands of her dear friend Deb). She is lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her mother Yvonne Clifton Corzilius, her brother and sister-in-law Brian Corzilius and Candice Clayton, her sister, brother-in-law, and nieces, Susan, David, Alexandra, Hannah, and Samantha Corzilius-Shall, and her younger brother David B. Corzilius.  She also is survived by her maternal grandmother, Pauline Southward Clifton of Circleville, Ohio, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father, David S. Corzilius, Colonel, USAF, retired.

Cynthia was a funny, generous, witty, and supportive friend and sister, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  In her passing, she finally has found her peace and freedom from the pain she suffered at the hands of an undiagnosed illness.  Cynthia requested that, in lieu of flowers or services, donations can be made to the woman’s support group, Dress for Success.
