Individual Note: Carl A. Brill was a blacksmith and game warden and deputy sheriff. He was killed by buckshot in the back of the head while busting a still owned and run by Dossy Rivers and Wash Sullivan. See Mobile Press Register, Jan. 5, 1922, and "A Nickel's Worth Of Baloney", p. 127. doss Rivers was convicted of the killing, sentenced to hang, appealed, sentenced to life, and paroled in the late 30's, and died shortly after his release.
