John Binkley was my second great-grandfather. He was married to Johanna Jacobina Leedy and, as far as I can tell, to no one else. It has been determined that the John Binkley who married Anna Schor was probably his nephew. Catherine, b. 1793, was the daughter of the other John Binkley and Anna Schor. My John came to Tennessee in late 1799, not 1791, as documented in Early Travels in the Tennessee Country. He is not the person whose son was killed by a bear.

FTM, United States, East of Mississippi -- some info from this recorded here:
Jane Binkley m Aaron Dean, Davidson Co., TN, 11/1825 and J. Mary Binkley m Aaron's son, Moses Dean, 10/27/1827. Descended from Peter Binkley's son, Johann Adam and Maria (Mollie) Weller, who settled in Davidson County, TN, 1784.

Due to Sfulk information: I changed name from John Adam to Johann Adam.
Sfulk gives birthdate as 8/2/1744, York county, Pennsylvania. She said they had 11 children. She says he was living in Cumberland Country, territory east of Mississippi River, later Tennessee.
