On the marriage certificate, the name Cashmere is written as Cashman, but this is an error.
I remember visiting Grandma and Grampa Cashmere, I may have been about 4 years old, in Hartford, CT. They lived in a small apartment with a huge bed, covered with a silky royal purple bedspread. Grandma Cashmere had a "bed doll" with large beautiful eyes and the most wonderful ruffled dress. I longed to play with it but was not allowed. I remember loving to sit in Grampa's lap and comb his hair. They were warm and loving to me....Grandma Cashmere gave great hugs.

I am in possession of a cemetery deed from the City of Hartford, CT, dated Feb 27, 1853, recorded in Vol. 145, page 476-71, signed by the town clerk, and nortarized.........
For a cost of $150.00 " William J. Cashmere of the City and County of Hartford, and the State of Connecticut, for himself, his family, his heirs and assigns.....in Northwood Cemetery 115 1/2 square feet, "lot layout of Section "e" Northwood Cemeter, Sept. 1, 1943"
